England’s Manchester United, football team forward Ronaldo, have demanded retirement such as Barcelona star Gerard Pique and respect for his long history.
The Daily Star explained that calls are growing for Cristiano Ronaldo to follow in the footsteps of
Barcelona hero Pique and retire after his latest miserable performance for Manchester United against Aston Villa.
Cristiano Ronaldo, 37, who won five golden balls, was given the captain’s badge by coach Eric ten Hag, but retreated again.
Cristiano Ronaldo failed to score in today’s game and was also warned as United lost 1-3 to Aston Villa, while the striker has so far scored just three goals in 16 games this season.

After the defeat, one Twitter user said: “Ronaldo must respect his history and retire like Pique,” writing a second message: “Ronaldo must do what Pique did yesterday and retire.”
Another agreed: “Ronaldo must do a great job and immediately back down if he likes United.”
Barca defender Gerard Pique said goodbye to the Catalans at Camp Nou, following the end of his team’s
match against Almeria, which ended with a 2-0 victory for the Parsa, during the match that brought together the two teams on Saturday night at Spotify Camp Nou, in the 13th round of La Liga competition this season 2022-2023.
