Argentina reveals the possibility of modifying list before World Cup

Argentina’s head coach Lionel Scaloni has revealed an adjustment to the list of 26 players participating in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

In press statements, Scaloni said: “There is a possibility of changes to the 26-man squad for the World Cup. We will see what happens “.

Scaloni justified this by saying, “There are players who are not 100% ready. We want to be careful and see how they develop “.

There was doubt about Paulo Dybala’s presence in the Argentine squad because of an injury that kept him out of the Italian side Roma for a month before he recorded his return Saturday with his participation in the final quarter-hour of his team’s game against Turin.

There are also some doubts about the readiness of the other striker Nicholas González (Fiorentina) and defender Marcos Acuña (Sevilla, Spain), who took part in yesterday’s friendly against the Emirates before being replaced early in the second half.

Argentina, led by star Lionel Messi, is among the leading candidates to win the world title for the first time since 1986 and the third time in its history, especially after its performance in the South American qualifiers and its title of Copa America 2021.

Argentina takes part in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 in Group C, where it begins with the Saudi team on 22 November, then meets Mexico on 26 of it, and concludes its first-round games on 30 November with the face of Poland.
