Manchester United manager Eric Ten Hag is preparing to replace Cristiano Ronaldo as the Red Devils’ management begins to prioritize a move toward a new striker.
The Portuguese legend’s contract expires at the end of the current season but he intends to leave next January.
The Daily Mail reported that Manchester United had placed both Benjamin Cisco and Dushan Vlahovic as substitutes for the Portuguese star.
The British newspaper confirmed
that it initially appeared that Ronaldo’s return to Manchester United last summer was more than a nostalgic attempt to appease a rapidly tense fanbase, with the striker scoring 24 goals in all competitions last year, but this season saw the relationship turn toxic and the player is on the way to leave.
Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial’s injuries are also fundamental reasons for Manchester United management to sign a new striker.
