The French newspaper L’Equipe announced the absence of Senegalese international star Sadio Mane from Senegal’s ranks at the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
The French newspaper revealed that Mane suffers from a tendon injury, causing him to miss the World Cup.
The Senegal international fell just 15 minutes into the game, with no interference in a shared ball, to be immediately changed at his request.
Bayern Munich secured a wide six-for-a-goal win at the expense of Werder Bremen, but Sadio Mane did not complete the game and replaced him for Roy Sane, just 11 days before the start of the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
The Tiranga Lions begin their campaign in the World Cup by taking on the Netherlands on 21 November, then face Qatar in the second round on 25 November, and Senegal conclude the World Cup group league by facing Ecuador on 29 November.
It is worth mentioning that Senegal is in Group I, which includes both teams, Qatar hosts the tournament, the Netherlands and Ecuador.
